Sybase Developer

Job Description

As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for support, development and enhancement of automated batch processes written using Sybase and UNIX. You will have to do support of replicated Sybase environment and investigations/ solutions of any issues that may occur. Your responsibilities will include database development of new stored procedures to support new application functionality. You will also have to do UNIX development of new batch jobs and enhance existing batch jobs. You must also contribute to the technical code documentation.

Futurism Technologies is looking for candidates with 2 years to 3 years of experience in Sybase development in UNIX environment. Candidates should posses excellent knowledge in T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers and views. Candidates should possess excellent knowledge of UNIX shell scripting or Perl scripting. Knowledge of ETL is preferred. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are mandatory for this position. Knowledge of the financial industry and SDLC practices are an added advantage.
