What is Google Page Rank?

Google Page Rank is the number assigned by the Google by considering more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms. Page Rank is one of the methods Google uses to determine a page’s relevance or importance. Pages that Google believes are important pages receive a higher Page Rank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results.

Google Page Rank is displayed on the Google toolbar of your browser if you’ve installed the Google toolbar. Page Rank goes from 0 – 10 where 0 is bad and higher is good.

Page Rank also considers the importance of each page that casts a vote, as votes from some pages are considered to have greater value, thus giving the linked page greater value. Important pages receive a higher Page Rank and appear at the top of the search results.
