5. Getting Started with TSL

a. Programming test with TSL

i. Recording basic script
ii. Using function generator
iii. Creating user defined functions.
iv. Adding logic to the scripts.

b. Recording the tests

i. Analog recording mode.
ii. Context sensitive recording mode.
iii. Analysing the results.

6. GUI Map File

a. Setting up the GUI map

i. Understanding the GUI objects
ii. Spying on GUI objects
iii. Using Rapid Test Script Wizard.
iv. Working with Customisable GUI file

7. Maintaining the test scripts

a. Test Scripts.
b. GUI map files.

Day 2

8. Understanding TSL Programming

a. Synchronizing the tests.

i. Need for synchronization.
ii. Synchronizing the tests.
iii. Running the synchronized test.

b. GUI check points

i. Adding GUI checkpoints in the test.
ii. Running the scripts.
iii. Analysing the results.

c. Bitmap check points

i. Adding bitmap checkpoints.
ii. Running the scripts.
iii. Analysing the results.

Session 4(4hr)

9. Working with Data Driver Test.

a. Data Table TSL programming

i. Creating data driven tests.
ii. Converting normal tests to data driven tests.
iii. Creating data pool.

b. Data Base Testing

i. Connecting to database.
ii. Firing SQL queries.

10. Batch Test

a. Programming a batch test.
b. Running a batch test and analysing the results.

Pre-requisite for workshop

• To conduct a WinRunner Workshop Company will have to install Mercury Interactive WinRunner software.
• Training Material hard copy will be provided by Faculty and Company will have to make hard copies of the same thereafter.
• Minimum 10 participants required for the workshop. If participants are less than 10 then the charges will be revised upon discussions with company.
