Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been a topic of immense interest since 2014. Last year, the Government of India mandated companies with turnovers of Rs. 1,000 crore, or with a net worth of Rs. 500 crore to contribute 2 percent of their average net profit to CSR activities.<\/p>\n

CSR was the primary theme of the 2nd<\/sup> Edition Conference on CSR by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC)<\/strong>. Titled Corporate Social Responsibility: Beyond Compliance, One Year on\u2026. State of the Mission<\/strong><\/em>, the conference was held in Mumbai on April 7th<\/sup>, 2015.<\/p>\n

Changing Views about Corporate Social Responsibility<\/span><\/p>\n

The theme of the conference was based on the present status of The Companies Act 2013 (Section 135 & Schedule VII) in the corporate and social sector. The conference included discussions on various topics related to CSR such as taxation, CSR as a business strategy, and corporate expectations and NGO ethos<\/em>.<\/p>\n

As a partner and supporter of the conference, Futurism Technologies Pvt. Ltd.<\/strong> actively participated in the conference. Mr. Amol Bhore, delegate to Mr. Sheetal Pansare, President and Global CEO, Futurism Technologies Pvt. Ltd<\/em>., represented the organization at the event. Mr. Bhore gave a presentation, outlining the company’s CSR’s model, and how the organization’s efforts are benefiting various causes.
