The Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) has become a de facto global standard for measuring the process maturity of the organization on a scale of 1 to 5.
CMMI Level 3 means that an organization follows a set of standardized and defined processes, which are set to improve over time. This appraisal has become a mandatory requirement for several federal contracts.
